Physiological sigh

A double nasal inhale followed by a long mouth exhale. The fastest built-in stress reset.

Also known as: Double inhale, Cyclic sighing

Physiological sighs occur spontaneously every few minutes in mammals to reinflate collapsed alveoli. Done deliberately in rapid succession, they produce a large parasympathetic swing and reset acute stress in under a minute.
